Support » Plugin: TablePress » Make text in cell bold without html

    Hi Tobias,

    I want to make the text in some cells bold but I do not want to do that by changing the contents of the cell to for instance: <span class=’bold-text’>My bold text</span>

    If I do that, the table becomes unreadable in admin/edit mode.

    Do you know another way to make the text in certain cells bold?

    Thanks!
    Corne

    Hi,

    thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

    The better HTML code for bold text would be

    <strong>This is bold.</strong>

    or

    <b>This is bold.</b>

    If you want to bolden the content of an entire cell, you can use CSS code. For example, add this to the “Custom CSS” textarea on the “Plugin Options” screen of TablePress:

    .tablepress-id-123 .row-5 .column-2,
    .tablepress-id-123 .row-7 .column-6,
    .tablepress-id-123 .row-8 .column-4 {
      font-weight: bold;
    }

    (with the correct table ID and row/column numbers).

    Regards,
    Tobias
