Hello – Can I make PDFs of just one post, or a group of chosen posts? I don’t want all of them to be in one PDF file. Thanks.

Hi @eac2015! Nice to digitally meet you! yes you can do both of those with Print Mu Blog.
For individual posts, from the WordPress admin dashboard, under “Print My Blog” click “settings” and check “posts” to show print buttons for posts. Then when you’re viewing a post on the front end of your website , click the new “PDF” button to view a PDF-ready version of that post which your browser can then turn into a PDF.
To make a group of posts into a PDF, from the WordPress admin dashboard, under “Print My Blog” click “Print Now”. Then expand the details and use the filters (eg select a category to only show posts in that category, or use the dates or author filters.) Then when you click “Prepare Print Page” only matching posts will be included. At this time you can’t specify certain posts in a certain order though (that’s in the works).
    Does that help?

Thanks, this is working. Is there any way I can edit the PDF with this plugin? Wai t- I just saw all the options on the group PDF section. Cool. Thank you.

Another question: When I set up a group (love that this is possible), I checked the box to have each new post start on a new page, but it didn’t do that. It started where the previous left off.

Is it possible to remove part of the text before saving the PDF? Our posts are more than one page and I would like to condense to one page for the PDF.

Can I remove the comment box at the bottom?

    Thank you!

Would you mind sharing the URL of your site where you’re using Print My Blog? Then I could see what’s going wrong. There’s likely there’s some CSS code from your theme that’s preventing the pagebreaks from being added.

Is it possible to remove part of the text before saving the PDF?

Kinda. You can add the CSS class “pmb-screen-only” onto the paragraphs and content you want to not appear in PMB printouts, and then they’ll disappear from printouts. There’s a FAQ about this.

Can I remove the comment box at the bottom?

I’m not quite sure what comment box you mean. Having the URL of your site (or at least a screenshot) will help. Maybe you’ve selected PMB to show comments on posts? If so, you can just uncheck it on the print setup page (screenshot).

    Does that all make sense?

It makes sense. I think it’s too complicated for my level of knowledge. I will do them by hand. Thank you.
