Make selection/selecting of button vs buttons more obvious

    A minor frustration with the buttons block. I understand there is the Buttons block and then inside is a button or buttons. I find it difficult to tell whether I have one or the other selected, leading to a lot of trouble trying to drag these blocks around. You can drag the button group but not the individual buttons. I realize a lot of this has to do with the way the block editor works, figured I’d drop a thought here about this to make it easier in future updates. Thanks!

    Just ran into this again and here’s the process I go through:

    Click the button (in this case I only have one)
    Try to drag
    Realize you can’t drag it
    Use arrow keep up or click the buttons icon (just noticed the latter)
    Then drag

    I would expect if I click the block I would be able to drag it, but I also understand wanting to focus the cursor on the button for editing purposes.

    Thanks, I understand how to do it, it’s more a question of intuitiveness. If you’re doing layout moves with the mouse you have to make sure to click the containing block which is invisible. Perhaps block editor improvements will make this more intuitive in the future.

    I agree – this isn’t super intuitive. We’ll look into whether the editor allows us to disable drag and drop on some blocks – that will allow us to disable it on individual buttons.
