Make post-accompanying image not appear in gallery? (WP2.5)

    Using the new image upload tool, am I just missing the way to have a single post-accompanying image that’s not included in the post’s [gallery]?

    I typically have an image at the top of each post, and also want to use WP2.5’s new “gallery” feature to show some images in the post – but I don’t want the top image to be included.

    Make sense?

    If not, are there parameters to the [gallery] that allow me to hide/show only particular images?
