  • Hello @jcsadmin1,

After examining your site, I can see that the popup fades. However, the fade is so fast, the duration of the fade didn’t even register with me. Everyone has different aesthetic senses, so perhaps that behavior is not acceptable to you.

As to the code gist you posted; you could try it out. I recall about 3 – 4 months back, some plugin users in South America wrote in about a similar situation to yours. Honestly, the duration of their popup fade didn’t seem like a big issue either. But they were insistent that the popup abruptly close rather than fade.

I can’t recall how that support request got resolved.

This matter will probably require the involvement of the plugin developer for resolution. It’s much easier to pull him in if you repost your support request to our support forum at https://wppopupmaker.com/support.

Bear in mind that the availiblity of both the plugin developer and I will be limited beginning today. We are both attending WordCamp US. He is driving a long distance. I’ve already arrived in town for the event.

BTW, why did you set both popups to ‘Position’ >> ‘Stackable’ on your site? Just curious, as I rarely (if ever) see that setting enabled.

    Hi,

Thank you for getting in touch with me.

I understand your comments, thank you.

I would like to implement the code as the clients wants an abrupt end 🙁

As to the code gist you posted; you could try it out” – How would I add this into my site? (sorry I am not a developer).

If that doesn’t work, I’ll guess I’ll have to wait 🙂

    Thanks for your quick response!!!

    To your previous question…

I’m not sure why i added stackable?!?!? Was unsure what it meant.

With the fade – the text fades out quickly then the background disappears?!?!?

    Hello @jcsadmin1:

A good way to pass in the customized code gist that you referenced above (without having to modify your site’s theme) is to use the Simple Custom CSS and JS plugin from the WP.org plugin repository. Its just a glorified editor that will enqueue your custom CSS or JS and ‘hook’ it into your theme. That way if you’re using a child theme on your site, or your client chooses to change themes, the customizations you add to the existing theme will persist (won’t be lost).

Following up to my comment above: “BTW, why did you set both popups to ‘Position’ >> ‘Stackable’ on your site? Just curious, as I rarely (if ever) see that setting enabled.”

In the Popup Admin (below the content editor) is a setting at ‘Display Settings’ >> ‘Position’ >> ‘Stackable’. The default setting is to leave the checkbox unchecked (disabled). In your use of the plugin, that feature is checked (enabled). If you don’t need to enable that feature, uncheck it.
