• I’ve got ‘pretty’ permalinks working. I just added Advanced Poll 2.03, which for some reason appends ‘index.php’ to the end of the URL after you vote in a poll, resulting in a 404 error. I don’t know why it’s doing that…it’s not necessary.

To see what I’m talking about, go to http://www.yaomingblog.com/blog/2006/07/02/yao-to-make-cameo-in-chinese-film and scroll down to the poll on the right-hand side, vote, and watch the 404 error result because of the appended ‘index.php’ in the URL. Note: this works fine in the root directory where an index.php exists.

Since Advanced Polls really has no support, I don’t want to hack around in there trying to fix it. That could take days/weeks. Instead, I’m thinking I should just make permalinks work with AND without ‘index.php’ appended.

Any ideas on what I need to add to my .htaccess file, or whatever, to make this work?
