make my home page look like the template's home

  • I downloaded the Responsive template because I like the three column format on the home page, and when I installed it and did a preview, it did not show that format. I couldn’t figure out how to get that format on my front page. (I currently have a page that is not in that format but I want to change it to what the template shows). I’m brand new to this, and maybe it is beyond my ability to do it.
Any simple steps to achieve this?

  • To clarify, I’d like to have blog entries on the front page. I don’t know how to get them there. I had some old blog entries that I hid somehow because I didn’t stay active with it and they were old, and I’d like to start blogging again with the posts on the home page and not visibly show the old blog posts.
