make main navigation static with screen size change

    Hello. I have the twenty twelve theme and am currently working on the general page layout in a child theme, so please forgive the ugly. I am trying to figure out two things with the main navigation.

    1. When I make my screen size smaller, the menu starts to blend together. How can I make this static, so that it remains on either side of my logo when the screen size is reduced?

    2. Where the navigation runs over my logo, it’s not clickable to my static main page, is there a way to bring this to the front so that the entire logo is clickable?

    I temporarily made your menu static and what happened was, the rest of your website resized anyway and your menu still overlapped the logo [screenshot]. Probably not what you want.

    Yeah, not the best, eh? So, any recommendations on how to make it so that it doesn’t move around? Thanks.

    I don’t see how you can have the navigation around the logo, while the logo changes position.

    I guess what I mean is that I want it all to move together. The logo and the nav, so that it doesn’t end up overlapping at all. Or do I need to start over with the nav and figure out a different way to split it around my logo? Here’s the css I have in place so that the nav looks the way it does (I’m pretty sure there’s some stuff in there that doesn’t need to be that I was going to clean up once I got this figured out):

    then in the appearance > menus I have this css code in for the items to the right of the logo: alignright float right important
