I’m not sure I’m understanding what you are asking. The fields are already invisible in hidden inputs. If you are asking about why they don’t start with an underscore, it’s because the prefix is fg_

Hi Andy!
No they are not ) The id values are shown in the Custom fields Metabox in the Edit post screen. So I thought this is a bit sore for the end-user, who says, what are these figures ).. With a prefix _fg they would be invisible.
But it’s my thought, you’re an author )) thanks anyway
The only thing that I can think of is that another plugin is conflicting on your site with Featured Galleries. The inputs are type hidden, and the user can’t see any of them in the metabox. Screenshot here:

With the plugin metabox is everything ok. Please see what I meant (screenshot): http://www.tiikoni.com/tis/view/?id=e9ba9db
This is a native Custom Fields metabox in WordPress.
I see. I’ve never noticed that before because I never use that metabox. This change makes sense, to hide the stuff. However, I can see a lot of backwards compatibility issues here. I’ll need to figure out a way to update all old data.
I’ve been pretty busy with work recently, Alex, and currently I don’t have the time to try and plan out a way to mitigate transferring all the data to a new meta key value. If you’d like to help out with code or specific method ideas, please let me know. I’m open to adding commit access.
Since I haven’t heard from you in a week I’m going to assume that you aren’t interested and mark this as resolved. I’m not sure what is going on with the screenshot that I posted earlier, but I don’t see a way to edit the post.
Or, I’d mark this as resolved if the forums weren’t messed up right now.
