Support » Fixing WordPress » Make a menu out of some pages, but not all pages

  • My theme (“foodpress”) allows for two menus. On one (or maybe both) of these menus, I’d like to add some, but not all, pages – so making the menu to appear like a particular “category” of pages.

    Is this at all possible?

I’d still like my other pages (i.e., those that are not to be included in this “category of pages menu”) to be available.

    Many thanks for help.

Where did you download this theme from? Have you reviewed custom menus?

I bought it from themeforest. No, I haven’t reviewed that yet .. perhaps I should. Was hoping for an obvious fix that I may have overlooked. But thanks I’ll take a look at that.

I’m sorry but as you are using a commercial theme, you need to seek support for any theme-specific problems (such as not supporting custom menus) from the theme’s vendors.

Oh, right, thanks, OK. I thought there’d be a common way of doing this for any theme.

Sorry – every theme is different.

Well, yeah, understood, but as I say I thought I might be missing a common and obvious solution to this, being new to wordpressery

How would someone do this on a non-commercial theme? 🙂

Well if anyone would like to know I found a solution here
