# MAJOR INSTALL PROBLEMS / NETWORK SOLUTIONS

 * I use Network Solutions (networksolutions.com) as my host/server. They have mySql
   on their server. I have read others have gotten WordPress to work. I have the
   Advanced package with them. I am using Frontpage as the front end web designing
   program. I think I followed the instructions to install but I am having no luck.
   I put the entire wordpress directory (after I unzipped it) onto my website’s 
   directory and then I ran that install file and a bunch of coding came up. Need
   help big time. I am a midlevel computer person… Not a dunce – not a pro… about
   in the middle. So if you can explain it in somewhat laymans terms I would appreciate
   it.

   to what you have in your package.

 * I hope you are on a Unix server of theirs, otherwise you will not have PHP. If
   you are seeing the code… unfortunately that might be a sign that you don’t have
   PHP included in your package.

 * I asked Network Solutions what they have..
    They told me this. I am not on the
   unix option – I am on their Windows option… PHP 4.3.10 Mysql 3.23.58 The mod_rewrite
   enabled

 * So, does your install work now?
    I went to the site you mentioned: [http://www.networksolutions.com/web-hosting/advanced-web-hosting-package.jhtml](http://www.networksolutions.com/web-hosting/advanced-web-hosting-package.jhtml)
   and clicking the last item in the list > “See all features” opens a popup window
   where it says under Website Development Features: PHP 4 = (Unix only).

 * The Network Solutions (NS) site only approximates the PHP version number in their
   hosting package descriptions. After several calls to NS I have confirmed that
   their current PHP version is 4.4.
 * I have also confirmed that WordPress will run on an NS hosting server.

 * I run a site at NS on a linux server, works fine. Wouldn’t consider trying it
   on a Windows server though.

 * Agreed: my comment about was about the UNIX version of WordPress.
