• Hello,

I downloaded the w3 total cache and it’s really messing up my website. I contacted Host Gator and they said that I needed to speak with you.
I logged in this morning in my dashboard and this is the error it gave me
W3 Total Cache Error: some files appear to be missing or out of place. Please re-install plugin or remove /home3/melissa/public_html/le-bonheur-total.com/wp-content/object-cache.php.

Thank you for helping me !!

  • I’m having the same error message. I thought it was because it was a conflict with Bullet Proof Security, but if you don’t have the either, then it must be something else. But I am gettign the exact same error message

Hi, I had to contact my hosting company to run and error log. They got my back into my admin.

I had to manually delete w3tc though.

There is another thread that says the previous version works.

This is what I did to get it for for now… I will let my site back up before I put the old version back on.

Ok, thankfully I found the answer

As far as the errors my hosting company ran and error log to get me back into my dashboard.

To remove it the instructions are listed on this site.

    http://www.tech-recipes.com/rx/36504/wordpress-manual-uninstall-of-w3-total-cache/

In addition to what they listed I had to remove the folder called w3tc-config in the wp-contents folder where the other advanced-cache.php and object-cache.php and db.php files are located that also needed to be removed.

On another thread I heard that the older version of w3tc is still working. I will need to let my site back up before putting the previous version on.

But for today, at least I can get back into my dashboard and got w3tc off the site for now until this version works with my other stuff.
