• am an administrator of the website saint-albans.org. Recently, I installed the WP Maintenance Mode plugin for use while I was making changes to the website. However, I noticed that, when I finished making the changes, switched maintenance mode off and deactivated the plugin and tried to go back into the front end of the website, I didn’t get the website’s homepage but instead, I got a page saying, “Maintenance mode is on. Website will be available soon.” Also on this page is a user log in section. I can log in there, but I’m thinking visitors to the website might not be able to log in.

Thinking the Maintenance Mode plugin was going to be problematic, I deactivated and uninstalled it. However, this didn’t fix the problem I described above. I read on a WordPress support forum that if you have WP Super Cache installed among your plugins that this could cause the problem I’ve been having. I do have WP Super Cache and I deactivated it, but the problem still exists. What should I do to fix the issue? Thanks for any help!
