Maintenance is On But people can still find some pages

    Hi there
    My website has been in maintenance mode since yesterday but I just received an enquiry from the above page. How is that possible? I cannot reach it in any browser or when not logged in?

    Hi,
    I really don’t see how that’s possible. I’ve checked the page and it’s under maintenance like the rest of the site. Unless you added the page on the list of exceptions in settings it’s impossible to open it. The only way to open it is if you’re logged in to the site as an admin.
    One scenario might be that the person had the page open in a tab BEFORE you activated maintenance. So then he submitted the form later despite the maintenance being ON. But not sure if even that is possible.

    I think that may well be very possible as I had a purchase made on the online store which I manage and maintain for a company today while maintenance mode was on. Then I turned it off but the site remained in maintenance mode… I cleared cache browser and with wp-optimize and it was still there so I actually disabled the plugin. I’ve been using it for years without a hitch.
