Support » Plugin: WP Super Cache » Main Page Refresh

  • Hello

    I’ve installed WP Super Cache, and it’s been great at reducing server load, but I’ve run into a pretty specific problem.

    Basically, I have a few things going on on my site (blog, forum, etc), and each have their own directory. So the blog is at “domain.net/wp/” and the forum is at “domain.net/forum/” and so on. I consider the blog the main part of the site, so simply putting in “domain.net” gives identical results to “domain.net/wp/”.

    Or rather, it used to.

    With WP Super Cache installed, purging the cache after a new post will make this new post visible on “domain.net/wp/”, but “domain.net” will still show the old result from before the new post.

    I’ve tried to peek into the settings of the plugin, but frankly, I don’t even know what I’m looking for. Does anyone know how to fix this?

    Thank you for your time.

  • I don’t know how useful this information might be, but it almost looks like only the “domain.net” page is being cached.

    The source code for it has this at the bottom:

    <!-- Cached page generated by WP-Super-Cache on 2013-03-14 16:58:35 -->

    I loaded up “domain.net/wp/” and another two pages, one that was listed as being cached 20 minutes back, and one that was listed as being cached a few seconds back, and their source codes read as follows:

    <!-- Cached page generated by WP-Super-Cache on 2013-03-14 18:02:13 -->

    <!-- Cached page generated by WP-Super-Cache on 2013-03-14 18:03:22 -->

    <!-- Cached page generated by WP-Super-Cache on 2013-03-14 18:03:56 -->

    Those three timestamps correspond to the times that I opened the pages, not to the times that they’re listed as supposedly being cached.

    The “domain.net” page is the only one with a non-current timestamp, but it has the opposite problem – it’s too far back and not showing the new data.

    I’m truly lost now.
