    Dear Sir/Madam,

I have a problem with mailpoet 3. Currently I am in the free version, but I was a premium account, but cancelled my subscription, but am goin to renew it again when the time comes.

The problem is that our hosting provider has messaged us about lots of 404 pages being generated on our server.

Examining the log file, it looks like mailpoet’s cron is generating some POST requests and sending them to not existing webpages:

    2019-08-21T13:59:07.000Z,"server.wp-hosting.cz","404","POST /?mailpoet_router&endpoint=cron_daemon&action=run&data=eyJ0b2tlbiI6ImZmZDM3In0 HTTP/1.1","35.230.156.184"
    2019-08-21T14:47:09.000Z,"server.wp-hosting.cz","404","POST /?mailpoet_router&endpoint=cron_daemon&action=run&data=eyJ0b2tlbiI6ImMyN2FlIn0 HTTP/1.1","35.230.156.184"

Can you please check what that is, why it is doing it and how can I stop it? I receive hundreds of these requests daily.

    Thank you for your help
    Vojtech

    Hi there @finexcz,

Have you uninstalled MailPoet 3? And if you haven’t can you let us know what task scheduler method you are using in your wp-admin > MailPoet > Settings > Advanced?

    Thanks!

Thank you for your reply. I have not yet uninstalled the plugin. I still need to backup the mail database and haven’t gotten to it.

If I uninstall it, will that help?

The task scheduler method I am using is the middle one, “Mailpoets own script”. Maybe thats the problem?

No, just if you had and somehow the scheduler was running it would have explained the 404s.

The task scheduler you are using should be fine, but to check can you please try using “Visitors to your website”.

    Thanks!

I have uninstalled the plugin and it seems to be doing fine now. Thanks.
