MailPoet Error: Sending paused due to an technical issue
-
Last night, I planned an email sending (80.000 subscribers). When I checked the mailing this morning, I found the sending paused “due to an technical issue”. The error reads something like:
Sending was paused due to a technical problem with SMTP: SMTP returned an unknown error. Unprocessed subscriber
I had to remove the email from the list and could then resume the sending. I watched the process and got similar errors at 40%, 60% and 80%.
So, I had to watch the sending on a sunday morning instead of having coffee with my girlfriend. Thank you!
What, for heaven’s sake, is going on here? Why is the sending paused? And why do I have to manually remove the email from the list before I can resume the sending? This makes scheduled sending impossible. I can’t check the integrity of the emails before each sending. What am I missing here?
Luckily, our hosting company accepts a sending rate of 500 emails per minute. With standard hosting sending would take 24 hours. Well, that sounds like a lot of fun.
