I ran into this issue today and it seems Google has flagged my site as including Malicious Software or Malware.

For me the, the actually javascript was a bit hard to find as it wasn’t loaded until the email address is submitted through the MailMunch plugin, at which point MailMunch loads a bunch of javascript. I’m actually impressed that Google identified it.

The file being identified as malicious is http://sync.graph.bluecava.com/js/bc.js

Obviously we have to immediately stop using the plugin as to end Google’s wrath.

Please let me know if you have intentions of fixing this.

  • I have the same issue, and was wondering what was causing the issue. Thanks for pointing this out, and I also hope MailChimp sorts this out pronto. Thanks Allen.

@allenj10 That is quite strange. Can you share a screenshot or something where Google has flagged your site? Would help to get more details to debug this.

Google Tag Manager has flagged this on my site, as well.
I’ll post screenshots but in the meantime here is the copy that shows:

@namafit can you please email screenshots at support [at] mailmunch.co with details of your website and everything so we can look further into this?

Upon further investigation, it looks like one of our third-party analytics services were using a JavaScript which may have been causing this. It looks like Google may have wrongly flagged this as malware, it’s simply an analytics tracking tool. However, we have still removed it and you should not see the bluecava JS any more.

Let us know if you still see this.
