• I’m trying to change my email address in the wordpress.org mailman for wp-svn. It’s not working and I think someone has screwed up the permissions.

    First problem:
I try to do anything that requires a confirmation string via the web and it never takes the string. I can try using the link in the email and it goes to a page asking for the string again, and when I cut/paste the string from my email it just shows the same page.

    Second problem:
There’s an email address listed on the mailman pages and it doesn’t go anywhere. In fact, it bounces as invalid address. I’ve tried googling for an admin address but you guys are doing a good job at keeping it secret.

I’m going to try using the email interface to mailman. In the past I’ve found misconfigured mailman web interfaces can be worked around by using the email interface.

    Wish me luck.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Those lists should be completely decommissioned for years now. Are you still getting email from the lists?

    Ah, that one still lives.

Never mind and good luck. 😉

    Well that explains some things.

It’s still live. From time to time I get a flood of svn emails – it never seemed like it was each commit. It is the only way I know to find out that WordPress had updated because a new commit would be tagged and I’d see that email.

lists.wordpress.org still is live and I was able to change my email through the email interface.

    This leads to two questions:
    1) am I not supposed to have access to the commit emails?
    2) is there a better way to find out when a new wordpress is released?
