I’m not sure about WP solution, but I have two recommendations for you:
1) make sure your host doesn’t already provide you with something
2) check out ListMessenger at http://www.listmessenger.com/. It’s free for up to 200 users and well-supported. I’ve only installed it on my site and have yet to send out mass mailings, but from what I see so far, I’m pretty pleased.
That’s “mailing list for the documentation efforts”, not new versions – but anyway, it worked fine for me….
