Love the new MailChimp and ActiveCampaign integrations? Are there any plans to create a MailerLite integration in the near future?

Sure, I can do that, it doesn’t look any more complex than Mailchimp.

It will likely be a couple of weeks or so until I get to it. SpeakOut! is 100% free, so paid projects come first.

Awesome! I will look forward to seeing that. Definitely understand the need to put paid projects first. I appreciate all the work you put into maintaining this plugin!

Grab the latest version and Mailerlite should be working

LOL…I released a new version because I thought Mailerlite was broken. But I was testing on the wrong petition…all working as best I can tell. I look forward to a report.

@123host Thanks for your work on this! I tested it out today, but unfortunately it doesn’t seem to be working… I tried it with the double opt-in enabled in SpeakOut and disabled and with a couple different email addresses, but it didn’t seem to pass the email over any of the times. πŸ™

    :o(

I just tested at https://speakout.123host.net.au/speakout-demo/ and it worked as expected.

I have to ask the obvious question, when signing as a visitor, did you check the “optin” box?

What is the URL of your petition?

@123host I don’t currently have the optin box option enabled in settings. Do I need to do so for this to work?

The URL is https://storyembers.org/manifesto-2/ It’s a bit of the ways down the page, but the “Add My Signature” link in the top menu should jump you there.

Yes you do need the optin checkbox enabled, by design.

My thought is that if you are asking people to sign up to a mailing list then they should clearly give their permission.

It appears that you are using SpeakOut! as a contact form rather than to send a petition. If that is accurate, you are using a sledgehammer to drive a small nail. You would be better with a mailerlite purpose plugin.

Oh, I didn’t see the signature list down the bottom…that makes a difference to how you use it πŸ˜›

@123host Got it. I’ve enabled the optin checkbox, but am still having trouble over here… Are there other features I need to enable as well?

I would check, but your site seems to be down.

I just signed (twice), are they in the list of signatures? Did they make it to Mailerlite?

    Thread Starter jdegraaf

    (@jdegraaf)

@123host Sorry for the shaky website connection! I do see your signatures within the private SpeakOut list (they aren’t public since we use the double opt-in). Unfortunately, though, I don’t see them in MailerLite…

Are you sure you have the API token and group ID correct?

Can you head to my demo petition and give that a try? https://speakout.123host.net.au/speakout-demo/ Let’s see if it works for me.

Yes, that worked. I can see it in Mailerlite. I suspect your API token and group ID. Did you follow these instructions? https://speakout.123host.net.au/faqconc/mailerlite/
