I ma using MailChimp for WordPress plugin.

I like it because of the AJAX form submission. But there is one additional thing that I need. I need to have it as a single opt-in form. Is there to do it with this plugin or does anyone has any other plugin that does that. If someone has somekind of a tutorial that I can use it would be also great.

I don't think MailChimp provides a single-opt option. At least according to their web site it doesn't look like it. Not many (reputable) companies do, because it means you could just be adding email addresses to a list in order to spam them. Not that you would do that, of course.

    Hi sasa2209!

I, too, ran into this problem. MailChimp says "When you use MailChimp's signup forms, we require the double opt-in process."

So JaySeae is correct that they don't really like single option; however, they do allow it via the MailChimp API!

It's easy! They let you do it! I created a video here, but it's 3 easy steps (no programming necessary with my video)!

    1) Log into your WordPress site.
    2) Find the MailChimp Plugin.
    3) Modify the listSubscribe function.

Oh, here's the MailChimp API link where they show you how to do single-optin.

    Have fun!

    Hi guys,

because i needed single opt in in many of my projects and i hate editing main code of existing plugins, i finally created my own single opt-in mailchimp plugin:

    I hope it helps.
