Mailchimp returned the following error: service unavailable

    Hi,

    It seems that suddenly my plugin form for my newsletter isn’t working. When I check it out, it says the above mentioned message:”Mailchimp returned the following error: service unavailable”

    I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the plug in, and I have been back to Mailchimp and re-copied and pasted the API key into the plug-in but that hasn’t helped either.

    My website is smokinghotconfessions.com The signup form I’m referring to is in a widget in the content sidebar. When people try to sign up, they get an error message.

    Could you please advise?

    Hey Ben,

    The issue you described is due to the connection between your website & MailChimp.com servers. Changing API or deactivating/activating the plugin will not work.
    Many GoDaddy customers using our plugin have faced this issue. If you are on a similar shared hosting, then if one of the users websites on the same server spams MailChimp, then MailChimp blocks the server address affecting all the other users.

    Do let us know where your website is hosted and also please ask your web host to do the debugging step mentioned in the advanced section at https://mc4wp.com/kb/solving-connectivity-issues/. You will need to provide them with your MailChimp API key too.
