    Hi,

I have used the mailchimp plugin for a while with no issues. Over the last couple of days I noticed the sign up forms were not showing on my website with the error
Whoops, you’re not connected to MailChimp. You need to enter a valid MailChimp API key.

I logged into the admin and tried to re enter the API but got the following message
API Call To Helper/ping Failed: Could Not Resolve Host: Us32.api.mailchimp.com

Not sure what I can do now to resolve this.

    Thank you

    Hi Daivd,

You may want to try and re-enter your API key. It looks like your host name is wrong: Us32.api.mailchimp.com, should be US3 or US2, but not US32. The US# is the data center your API key belongs to, and related to the last three letters of the API key ie: -us#.

    Hi Evan,

Thanks so much for the response

I have tried to re enter the API. It does end in US3

Once I click Save change I get this message

API call to helper/ping failed: SSL certificate problem: unable to get local issuer certificate

The Debug log has changed from the last error message to

API Call To Helper/ping Failed: SSL Certificate Problem: Unable To Get Local Issuer Certificate

The mail mailchimp screen now says
It looks like the forms table is missing. Please de-activate and re-activate the plugin to attempt to create the table. If the error persists, please get in touch with the YIKES Inc. support team.

I have tried to do this but nothing changes.

This is also randomly on the screen

WordPress database error: [Table ‘mpsdatabase.wp_yikes_easy_mc_forms’ doesn’t exist]
    SELECT * FROM wp_yikes_easy_mc_forms

    Thanks

Did you just change hosts or something? Have you tried de-activating and re-activating the plugin. If the database table is missing the plugin won’t function properly.

But in regards to the SSL issuer notice, I’m not sure why that would have randomly appeared if things were previously working. We have a knowledge base article set up for that error:
    https://yikesplugins.com/support/knowledge-base/i-receive-the-error-ssl-certificate-problem-unable-to-get-local-issuer-certificate-why/

But again it’s weird that would just appear out of the blue unless something changes server side.

    Hi Evan,

Nothing has changed with the site had same hosting for about 6 months. the site went down over the weekend and has only just came back online but I had this error on friday. I might contact the company we host the site and ask them to have a look for me.

    Cheers
