  • Resolved Emily G

I am using this plugin for a Mailchimp RSS campaign, and the images are still not pulling into the newsletter. RSS feed validates just fine, images show up in feedreaders. Any ideas?

  • Hi Emily,

How did you resolve this? I’m running into the same thing.

Have to make sure you are using *|FEEDITEM:CONTENT_FULL|* because that is the only way it will pull in the pics of the posts.

Thanks for the response! I am using *|RSSITEM:CONTENT_FULL|* which does pull the text but no image. When I changed it to your suggestion of *|FEEDITEM:CONTENT_FULL|* I get nothing. Does the image or content show in your MailChimp preview, or only in actual emails?

    Thanks !

It looks like it still doesn’t work.

Sorry, I missed this thread because it was marked as resolved.

If anyone is still having issues, please let me know.

*|RSSITEM:CONTENT_FULL|* is the correct one to use, and pulls in the RSS description, which should have the images included prepended to the front. View your raw feed /feed/ first, and ensure you see the IMG SRC code at the front, then test in Mailchimp.

The images may not show up in the Mailchimp preview, or show up as broken links, because of the srcset attributes from the responsive image code that WordPress appends automatically. When you send a test email, they should work fine. To get them to work in Preview, the Premium version has a Disable Responsive Images checkbox that you can use.

Let me know if you have any questions.
