Once the Mailchimp plugin is installed, connected and syncing the entire feature set from Mailchimp is available to use by logging into your account at mailchimp.com.
In regards to sending an Automation this is also done so from your Mailchimp account.
The plugin configuration is simply to connect and determine how a store owner would like for the e-commerce data to send from Woocommerce to Mailchimp.
An Automation, is an Automatically sent email that is sent based on criteria that you set such as making a purchase, or after someone signs up to your list, they will receive the email Automation. We now have a feature called Customer Journeys that essentially are Automations but with a visual builder for creating different paths for a customer can take when it comes to receiving marketing material from store owners.
