# Mailchimp API KEY

 * I have entered the API Key in the Mailchimp API Settings, but my status shows
   NOT CONNECTED. How may i suppose to connect, if you may find me solution to solve
   it. That would be really helpful.

    I just installed Mailchimp for WP and the status is NOT CONNECTED
   and MailChimp returned the following error: Service Unavailable. I checked my
   IP address and it is not blacklisted. I checked PHP CURL version cURL support
   enabled, cURL Information 7.36 I have the plugin logging “everything” and the
   debug log has “– Nothing here. Which means there are no errors!>” I have asked
   my provider to look at it and they do not see any reason that this should not

   I had been having problems with MailChimp connecting for over a month and today
   was the day I thought I would fix it!

 * same problem here: NOT CONNECTED; 503 code, service not available,
    but the service
   IS AVAILABLE => service responded when tested using curl per mailchimp docs !!

 * Hello,
 * Please note that this issue is caused when there is a connection problem between
   your website & MailChimp.com. There is not much we can do from our end. I would
   recommend checking [https://mc4wp.com/kb/solving-connectivity-issues/](https://mc4wp.com/kb/solving-connectivity-issues/)
   for some steps on finding the cause of this issue.
 * I’m marketing this ticket as resolved however if anyone else faces a similar

   user.
