    have been unable to make the mailback sender be the email:value from the form that was filled out. When a form is submitted, it is emailed to us. This email comes from “rootuser” instead of the applicants’ email or name.
    I have played around with settings, but cannot seem to get it right. (I do have the pro version)

    Here is what my settings look like now.

    In Configuration under Basic Email Settings
    Default email notification address = my own email
    mailer = SMTP PHP or Sendmail (I only get any emails when PHP is selected)
    sendmail path = /usr/sbin/sendmail
    Mailfrom (email address) = email:value (the name of the email element is email)
    From name = name:value

    in the form that I am working on in the email element under advanced, the mailback and the mailback as sender are checked.
