mail works fine from linux, but not from wp, how do I debug that?

    I’m the admin for two cloned linux server (vms).
    One works, one does not.
    Mail from the OS level works fine, for example:
    /usr/lib/sendmail foo@bar.com < /tmp/mail
    I watch /var/log/maillog, and see the mail spooling out.
    but when I try to add a new user, I see nothing.
    On serverA it works fine, on serverB, no mail goes out from WP.

    Can anyone tell me what components to look at?
