I’m in desperate need of a mail sender or newsletter plugin, that can send e-mails out to all my users (around 150).. I tried a lot different plugins but none of them works.. Do anybody know a plugin that works?
I really hope some one can help me, as its a big problem…
What doesn’t work? Do the emails not get sent or not received by your users? More details will help.
Yes Andrea_r thats right… I just want to send them all a mail.. The problem is that the most of the plugins dont sent any one out.. it say that it do but I don’t receive any..
I don;t think any of them send to the admin as well…
Subscribe2 might work… You can add everyone and then mail them with it…
I use the following “mu-plugin” script to generate a list of blog admin emails under the SuperAdmin menu that I then just copy and paste into my favorite email program.
Note the “//$query…” that’ll generate a list of all users in the network.
subscribe2 don’t work..
and i all ready have a list of users.. it’s my solution right now.. But I would like to have a mail sender from wordpress..
Do the WordPress notification emails work? If not, the problem is likely that your server isn’t properly configured to send email.
it’s able to send mails out when i create a new user.. so it should work..
Why didn’t subscribe2 work? YOu can sign up all your users and send them emails from the mail subscribers menu (off of the POsts menu). You can also turn off email notifications for new posts. Done.
Mind you, a real mailing list would be better, but…
I’m new to multisite and looking for a way to email the users of the various sites in my network. I don’t have a problem exporting the addresses to send the emails. Will any of the export users plugings (like Users to CSV) work in a multisite setting?
You may have to try them and see, I don’t know of any that are stated to work, but that doesn’t mean they don’t.
I guess I just assumed that those plugins would only work on the individual site level– not in the Network Admin users level.
Being new to multi-site: is there some way for me to tell when a plugin will work at the network level as well as the individual sites? Or do I just look for that in the documentation?
Look in the documentation. BUT, and here’s where it’s annoying, even if it’s NOT documented, it still may work! So trial and error most of the time :/
MOST plugins work fine if they’re activate per-site.
SOME plugins work fine with they’re network activated.
There’s no method to the madness, unless you know exactly how the plugin works.
