Mail Poet 3 update always fails

    Hello,
    I have been have problem with updating Mail Poet 3 plugin since the time I started using it. What happen is that when I click on update and wait, I get a message saying that the update has times out. This is a catastrophic issue, because this incident damage the WordPress website. I learned how to go into my wordpress using SFTP and deactivate the plugin. I mean every time I find there is an update for Mail Poet 3 plugin I prepare myself for this same scenario.
    Can you help?

    Do you have issues with site performance as well?
    The update of mailpoet does take a while, and does cause a problem if it runs into a timeout. I got that also twice,and my site went into maintenance mode. I found that during the update bots were retrieving data from my site. That were malicious bots, so I blocked them. If the network is jot stable than you can run into timeouts. Best is to check your site logs to see what is happening during the update
