Support » Plugin: In Stock Mailer for WooCommerce » Mail list compatibility / Divi theme / “Hide out of stock products” issue

Hello, I have a couple of questions about the plugin.

1/ It doesn’t work with the divi theme. How to use it normally ? With a shortcode ?
2/ Does the mails of the waitlist go also in the classical mail list (in my case it’s the mailchimp plugin that collect them) ?
3/ How to disable the woocommerce function that hide out of stock variations ? If it’s enabled then to use your plugin is a non sense for variation products. For me, it works with products that have more than 50 variations (it’s the default restriction).

Thanks a lot for your attention !
    Looking forward to read you.

    Hi,
I’m not very familiar with the Divi Theme, can you provide a link please?
You don’t need a shortcode, it works automatically using WooCommerce hooks.
(.. Was the product you were trying to test “OUT of Stock” or on Backorder ??)

    2. The plugin uses wp_mail(), Mailchimp is an email marketing service, you need a “transnational email service” because you’re sending an email to a specific customer with a specific layout, not a campaign.
Some transnational email service are free or inexpensive ( Mailgun, Sendgrid etc.. ).

    3. Not sure I understood this question correctly, but if “product variation” is enabled, you will have a “notify when available” when a customer selects a variation that is “Out of Stock”.

    Let me know,

    Check it out : https://kula-tactical.com/gorka-anorak/

Your plugin right now is desactivated on the website.

The out of stock variations aren’t shown on my pages. It’s obligatory to desactivate the ajax query that load the stock, because only that way it’s possible to show out of stock variations.
Now, I can fix that problem only for products with more than 50 variations (I use a plugin to load more than 50 variations stock : it’s a woocommerce default restriction)

So, about e-mail : when a person register himself in the waitlist, its mail is synchronized with email plugins like mine (mailchimp) ? I didn’t fully understand.

May I know which plugin are you using to allow more than 50 variations? It may be the reason why they are not shown.

Also, ajax requests are essential for this plugin to work.

Mailchimp is not synchronized with this plugin. This plugin sends emails without Mailchip or any other plugin intervention. To see if it works try sending a test email; you can find the tool at the bottom of the settings. If that doesn’t work (always wait 5 minutes and check your spam folder) it means that you need a transnational mail service.

The plugin is “Increase Product Variation Limit For WooCommerce”.
I disabled it for testing purposes of course.

I repeat, out of stock variations for products with more than 50 variations were all shown after that plugin was disabled.
The email stock notifications still weren’t in place, on both variable products and single products.

It’s sad for synchronization. That stock notification is a good way to collect e-mails for e-mail campaigns.

In that case it could be the Theme, I need the link to the theme you’re using so I can install it and reproduce the issue and fix it.

Adding email to Mailchip is a good idea for campaigns I agree on that. I was gonna implement that but I got busy working on a project, but I will do it later on.

Unfortunately I can’t offer support for software that is not within the WordPress repository. I can kindly ask the author for a free copy so that I can install and see what can be done.

..They said they will get back to me via email.
    Will keep you posted,

There is a free version for testing purposes, no ?

    Plugin Author Frank

    (@frankspress)

    There is not,
I need the plugin files and folder to install it on a local machine.
I’m asking them if they can let me have a free copy so I can offer support.

I just got a free copy of Divi Theme from the author for testing.

    Here’s what I found:

I created 3 variation for the product, one set out of stock.
As you can see the button shows up when you select the variation that is “out of stock”.

Can you take a screenshot of the problem and post it here?

I found why there is the problem.
I use “add to cart” module from bodycommerce. It seems that it’s not compatible.

How to change the mail text and submit style ?

    Plugin Author Frank

    (@frankspress)

You can change the email text and button style from “Email Body” from
WooCommerce -> In Stock Mailer -> Setting Tab
    OR
Settings -> In Stock Mailer -> Setting Tab

The style follows the Theme style, in your case inputs have a dark background.
It also looks spread out a little too much, let me add a couple of options so that you can fix those issues.
Will try to update it tomorrow so you get that fixed.

    Frank
