    Hello,

    My client received this email and I don’t understand why.

    “Action Required Within 7 Days
    An Instagram feed on your website has been not viewed in the last 14 days. Due to Instagram data privacy rules, all data for this feed will be deleted in 7 days time.

    To avoid automated data deletion, simply view the Instagram feed on your website within the next 7 days.”

    Indeed, I have only one Instagram feed and it is on the home page. This one is up to date when I compare it with the Instagram account.

    Also we have daily site visits.

    So I don’t understand the following sentence: “An Instagram feed on your website has not been viewed in the last 14 days.”

    And also: “Due to Instagram’s data privacy policy, all data in this feed will be deleted in 7 days.” I don’t understand. what will happen 7 days later?

    I don’t know if there is a link, but I did a restore a few days back to the day we received this email.

    Thanks for contacting us! To fully reconnect the account and resolve the issue described in the warning message, please follow these steps:

    -Go to WordPress Dashboard > Instagram Feed > Settings > remove the connected account(s) by clicking the red trash icon.

    -Click the Save Settings button.

    -Click the Add Source button, then click the blue Connect button and go through the connection process again. If connecting a Business Profile, when sent to Facebook, you may need to click the Edit Settings (reference) button to review your connection settings and make sure the correct account and related pages you manage are selected, and all permissions.

    For any existing feed or legacy feed, go to the specific feed options > Settings > Sources and select the newly connected source.
    Once your account has been readded, click the Save Changes button.

    Other than the page with the feed not being visited, this warning can appear if our app is deauthorized on the Instagram account or Instagram invalidates the access token for some other reason.

    Due to Instagram’s data privacy policies, if this is not resolved within the 7-day period, our plugin must delete all the Instagram platform data it saved on your website, such as cached posts and account connections. It will not affect your actual account on Instagram though.
