  • I tried to fix the error in my calendar because of magic quotes. I did all it said to do here: from a previous forum entry:

    Your diagnostic was the good : it’s a problem of magic quotes.
    Here a fix : paste the following code in functions.php of your theme :
    <?php if ( get_magic_quotes_gpc() ) { $_POST = array_map( ‘stripslashes_deep’, $_POST ); $_GET = array_map( ‘stripslashes_deep’, $_GET ); $_COOKIE = array_map( ‘stripslashes_deep’, $_COOKIE ); $_REQUEST = array_map( ‘stripslashes_deep’, $_REQUEST ); } ?>

    It did not mention where to change the php file exactly so I pasted this code right on top and saved the php file. This led me to a total failure of the word press theme. I could not get in to my website and had to go through ftp to fix the php file. Erase all code above, resave the php (after a lot of hair pulling) and now I am back to square one with the magic quotes error.

    Any idea what I can do to solve this that does not take freaking out my site and send it to complete oblivion?

    Thank you in advance for your help.
