Magic Fields gone? ACF paywalled, thanks for SCF

I used to use this beautiful free plugin called Magic Fields many years ago on my websites. I just decided to relaunch some of them and to my dismay found out Magic Fields has been discontinued. Saw ACF was the alternative but sadly it’s basically useless unless you pay a subscription. Did some more digging and realized Secure Custom Fields was launched by WordPress itself, is totally free and basically includes this functionality (Which should have been a part of WordPress from the start).
