Recently I had spotted an issue on the Gutenberg editor. The Title and Paragraph fields are unable to click on the “Paste” when using a right click dropdown option.

These fields’ paste dropdown is clickable after single letter / character is insert to the field.

It’s happening on Macbook Air Ventura 13.2.1 Safari Browser. The user of the website is an old folk which he think that keyboard paste is harder for him. 😥

Is there anyone or solutions for this situation?

No drop down at all, or no available “Paste” option (or grayed out, disabled)?

Would you please double check? If one slightly misses the field, for example trying to click at the very start of the field, but mis-positioning the cursor very slightly left (for LTR languages), there will be no active paste option. This is a common error since the field is not clearly defined in the editor.

Solution: click in the middle of the field. Since it’s empty, the cursor will be positioned left anyway. The gray text initially seen are place holders and not actual text as a field value.
