On my Mac with Firefox, when I try to uploaded a file during a “write post” effort I get this error:

Warning: imagecreatetruecolor(): requires GD 2.0 or later in /usr251/home/pdoran/public_html/wordpress/wp-admin/admin-functions.php on line 2184

Warning: imagejpeg(): supplied argument is not a valid Image resource in /usr251/home/pdoran/public_html/wordpress/wp-admin/admin-functions.php on line 2200

Warning: Cannot add header information - headers already sent by (output started at /usr251/home/pdoran/public_html/wordpress/wp-admin/admin-functions.php:2184) in /usr251/home/pdoran/public_html/wordpress/wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 275

And on a PC with Internet explorer a file uploads just fine.

And, the file I tried to upload via Mac DOES GET UPLOADED! The file is there.

Is this a common Mac issue?

No, firefox is just sharing the errors that IE is hiding. As long as you’re not expecting thumbnails to be built (that’s what that missing GD does) you’ll be fine.

BUT, it did fail first on my Mac, and worked on my PC (at work) and failed again my my Mac. Shall I try it on an a different browser on my Mac?
