M4A Audio File behaviour not same as MP3 Audio File (2 posts)

When I publish a post with an M4A audio file it causes problems with the player that is shown in the post, producing a quicktime player as if it is trying to display a video file.

Podpressing with MP3 audio files works perfect and in post players display and behave as expected.

I'm keeping all the post settings the same for M4A audio posts, but obviously linking to an M4A audio file and changing the file type drop down to M4A Enhanced Audio option.

Am I wrong to assume M4A audio files should behave the same as MP3 audio files?

    Cheers guys.

The underlying problem of the different behaviour of podPress when publishing mp3 and m4a files is that the both players which come with podPress can only play mp3 files. podPress does not include a player for m4a files. Because of that circumstance it embeds m4a files in a way that the browser loads the plugin which can play such files. In most cases it is the Qicktime plugin.

What do you mean by that?
It is possible to choose that the player plugin appears only with a very small height. Set height to 0 px and the height will be not heigher than the player buttons.
