<?php the_content(); ?> is ruins my theme

  • Hi I’m having trouble showing all my blogs content on the home page using the <?php the_content(); ?> tag in replacement with the <?php the_excerpt(); ?> tag that is already on my index page. I just got the new theme called Ocean Mist 1.0 and it looks great. However once I replace the “excerpt” to “content” in the index page my page gets all messed up. The sidebar goes to the bottom and the background blends in everywhere. Am I suppose to replace the <?php the_content(); ?> tag any where else on my site for it to work on the home page or is it just on the home page? If it is just on the home page why is it messing up the page. Please help! I couldn’t find the answer anywhere.
