    It’s all about outgoing connection from your server and your server’s performance. If your server has a low bandwidth connection, has a poor peering with Google API servers, or it’s a low performing server these sort of things are to be expected.

    Any idea why it worked perfectly before? I am still using the same hosting.

    These being said, have you checked your PHP log for errors? Before blaming anyone you should start by making this first check. Going further, try to temporarily disable all other plugins and to switch to a default theme, and check if there are any performance improvements.
