• My biggest complaint applies to the Cart66 auto-renewal, which is punitive. I’m getting tired of managing two things: passwords and subscription renewal dates! You forget about it, miss it, and there it appears, the unwanted charge on your credit card. Cart66 was especially bad because they don’t communicate with you at all during the year until, voila, you get a receipt for your auto-renewal!

    Then I had to figure out where/how to manage my subscription. You log into your account, and then you have to log in AGAIN to get to your subscription. Yeah, I’m sure it’s the super duper security but it’s a pain in the arse. The worst part is that it kept giving me an invalid password denial, even though I re-entered slowly and surely! I thought I was going crazy. I finally ended up changing my password, and only then could I log into Manage Subscription.

    THE FINAL INSULT: Cancellation is effective IMMEDIATELY! They have just renewed my subscription, but if I decide, ok, fine, you got me. I’ll have one more year but I don’t want to forget it again so I’ll cancel now and it won’t happen again. Meanwhile, what the heck, it’s paid for, who knows, I could decide to use it for something else. Wouldn’t that be a good policy? A second chance for both me and Cart66? But Oh No, cancellation is effective IMMEDIATELY. (Are you SURE you want to do this?)

    For that reason, I recommend finding a provider with more customer-friendly, relationship-building service. In comparison, my hosting provider, Bluehost, just sent a helpful reminder that my hosting renewal would be happening in 90 days. Thank You BLUEHOST! Cart66 and every other subscription service needs to do the same.

    Its agreed that subscription renewal notifications would be useful. I’m sure its something that will be added in the future.

    As for the subscription cancellation, how else would you like to see that work? You cancel a subscription and it does not cancel immediately? We use Cloud like everyone else. What if someone had a daily subscription and did not want it anymore? How would the cancelation work? Wouldn’t you prefer it to cancel immediately?
