 * I really need help. Our once active website is now sending messages on all the
   links. “Page not found” please could someone help.restore recover and return
   our website. Scenario is we initially started out with NetworkSolutions as the
   host. Gave the site over to volunteer team web builders who used WordPress through
   the back door and all the work created was successfully launched on the site
   who is now being hosted again by NetworkSolutions who say they did not save our
   changes. Perhaps they remained with WordPress ? The name of our website is [http://www.SAAWEDO.org](http://www.SAAWEDO.org)
   We are a non- profit 501 (c)3 organization and are in a bad situation that may
   cost us money but at this point we are willing to pay whatever it takes to get
   our information back and our site up and running again.

 * The good news is looking at the homepage, I don’t think you have lost any of
   the edits or pages, there is just a problem with where the domain name is pointing
   and/or what has been specified in the WordPress Address (URL) and the Site Address(
   URL)
 * The bad news is that you need someone who knows what they are doing to look at
   one or more of the following
    – the WordPress back end – the domain name resolution–
   the WordPress database
 * I’d be willing to help if you are interested. If you want to contact me, go to
   [http://forum.bytesforall.com](http://forum.bytesforall.com) and register and
   you can send me a message there (I’m a moderator on teh forum)

 * Hello,
 * This should be easily fixed. It’s possibly an issue with the rewrite rules in
   the .htaccess file. I notice the site also references what could be an additional
   WordPress directory of [http://www.saawedo.org/wordpress1/](http://www.saawedo.org/wordpress1/)
 * Like Juggledad, more than happy to help you out if I can.
 * Thanks
 * John

 * Just for those following this, the domain name pointed to the root of the site,
   but wordpress was installes in a sub directory and in the site they had the WordPress
   Address (URL) ponting to the folder wordepress was installed in and the Site
   Address (URL) was just the domain name. The site was not setup this way, the
   user didn’t know the admin password, they are on wp 3.5.1 and the people that
   customized it used twenty eleven and mode all their modifications to the theme
   with out renaming it or using a child theme..
 * But the site is now active and I’ve given them a bunch of things to do starting
   with BACKUP THE SITE.
