  • Hi, I just installed word press on my site about 2 days ago, and twice I’ve had word press just disappear, giving me a message saying wordpress is not installed. Luckily the second time all the posts were still in the database, but I keep losing the users..its getting a bit annoying to have everyone keep having to re-register themselves..does anyone
know where this file is stored, or how I can quickly add the users again without having to have everyone sign up again? Thanks for your help

  • Nothing is stored in files. Every data is in the database.
If your blog just disappears from the server – it’s time to look for a decent host. And if registered users have to re-register after a “disappearence” – there is something wrong with the whole setup. Or maybe one more reason to look for a host…

Thanks for the reply..I thought it might be a problem with the host. I looked at the database and all the tables were there, I just couldn’t find one for users. I just added some users again and see now that the users table is there. I’m running 4 different php “programs” (a calendar, wordpress, a photo gallery and a poll) off the same database, could this be causing the problem? Is there a limit to how much data or tables it can have? Right now the database is only at about 535 kb.
