# lost “Upload a Photo” function

 * Hi. Please excuse my ignoranace, as I am new to WP. When I go to write a post,
   I no longer see the “upload a photo” function on the page. It’s just gone.
    I
   have been trying out different themes, so perhaps I messed with something I should
   not have. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

 * have you been trying different admin themes?
 * Other plugins are capable to disabling the built in upload function. One example
   is PhotoPress, which will disable the upload if that option is enabled. If you’ve
   installed new plugins, I would first try disabling it(them) to see if it’s the
   problem.

 * Manstraw – that was it. Thank you! The plug in is WordPress Email Notification
   Plugin v2.3.1. How odd. And, to be totally frank, I couldn’t figure out how to
   work the plug in once I activated it, anyway. I think I need a plug-in course.
