    Hi
I have lost the spun child format. This followed my deleting what I think were misplaced style.css files I saw on my host site. They were not within the wp-content/themes/spunchild file path.

I have tried recreating the spun child and uploading via Filezila to my FTP host…

    The website just lists all the elements and wording etc. in one linear list…. and I was doing so well :-{

There shouldn’t be a spun folder in your child theme

    Hi Andrew
Not sure if you can see the screen shots
    The highest level
    htdocs
    logfiles
    spunchild
    themes

so spunchild to high in order??

spunchild folder including style.css file also appears at the next level by selecting themes
    spun
    spunchild
    twentythirteen
    twentytwelve
    index.php

    selecting spunchild…it contains file
    style.css

I can’t see your images sorry, try using Snaggy: http://snag.gy .

Your spunchild folder is in the right directory, but within that spunchild folder you have a ‘spun’ folder. That spun folder (spunchild > spun) isn’t supposed to exist.

to answer your post….Ive checked there isnt a spun file in my spunchild folder

    Thread Starter Mag_ick

    (@mag_ick)

ok – I’ll look again now youve told me where. So I just delete it? from the FTP file manager?

Within your Child Theme you have another folder, not ‘spun’ actually but ‘spunchild’.

    Remove ‘spunchild’.

Then put your files in the Child Theme directory (/themes/spunchild).

ok thanks Andrew, but it hasnt worked.

the spunchild folder on my C: drive had aa blank spunchild style.css
I recreated, within the correct file structure and uploaded
    wp-content
    themes
    (create) spunchild
    create file for style.css

    uploaded via Filezila

    no change on website

You still have a “spunchild” folder within a “spunchild” folder.

It’s not ‘capacity’, it’s opacity. See the link I replied with in the thread you started.
