I found these settings. You need to go to the edited page, and on the right side of the screen, click on the top of the icon between the gear and three points. They’re there now. I have version WordPress 5.3.2
How do I get them off the side and back where they were. Not useful on the side!

In case you want to revert to the older design, you can add the following filter to your theme’s functions.php file:

is it possible to have an option in the plugin settings to switch on/off instead of a hook ?

An option is something we have definitely considered and will see if many users demand it.
As of now, all the users (almost) are ok with the update and are not demanding any change. Though, as mentioned earlier, we do have an option to move the Rank Math’s box back to the bottom of the content area.
