  • Updated WP and network to 3.6 from 3.5.2 on 8/5/13. Update worked fine, but subdomain site disappeared – returned a blank white page when I went to site. Same blank page for site dashboard.

    I reloaded Bluehost daily backup to WP 3.5.2 and site is fine.

    Does the 3.6 upgrade require resetting the wp-config multisite flag?
    /** Enable or disable Worpress Multi-site features **/
    define(‘WP_ALLOW_MULTISITE’, true);

    Do I have to rebuild the htaccess file again>

    I setup WP multisite in 2/2013 and it has worked fine with wp3.5.1 and I migrated to 3.5.2 with no issues.

    Is 3.6 undoing multisite changes in wpconfig and htaccess that I have to redo by hand after update to get multisite to work again, or should the installer check that it is a multisite and not be changing things?

  • Also I am using WordPress MU Domain Mapping 0.5.4.3. Do I have to remap after migration to 3.6? Is there a conflict with this version of MU Domain Mapping?

    The upgrade doesn’t edit your wp-config or .htaccess, but if that’s missing, then yeah you need to restore it.
