The entire left column of my dashboard, the important part, with all the dashboard links, is gone after 3.2 upgrade, do I need to delete the site and upload my backup?

Yes, I went to php admin and deactivated the plugins as per those instructions and the dashboard is working now…Thank You very much, How easy is it to reactivate the plugins one by one until I find the one that is causeing the problem???

Should be fairly easy. WordPress won’t let you activate a Plugin if doing so would cause a fatal error. If you try to activate it, WordPress will prevent it from activating, and will report the fatal error.
