A friend of mine has a website with almost 10,000 users, almost all of which are old and not very computer savvy.
He spends a huge amount of time resetting passwords for people because the default WordPress method of handling this is too complicated for them.
The problem is that they request to reset their password and receive one email. They then follow a link and then a second email is sent. Then they have to use that randomly generated password to log in. Apparently this is too many steps or emails or something because he's even created a tutorial video for this, and they still can't make it all the way though.
Is there any existing plugin or hack to slim this process down to a single email? For example, user is sent an email, they follow a link to a page that asks them to provide their own new password?
