# Lost password function not working

 * While entering the username or email on the page to reset the password, I get
   the following error. I deactivated all plugins but the problem persists.
 * “Not Acceptable
 * An appropriate representation of the requested resource /wp-login.php could not
   be found on this server.
 * Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument
   to handle the request.”

 * You can see the problem by visiting [http://elib.co.in/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword](http://elib.co.in/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword)
   and entering “forever” which is the test user created by me.

 * Maybe you have to disable mod_security, ask your host.

 * But this was working fine with older versions of wordpress. Does that mean I 
   should install older version and see if its working??

 * In that case, check the minimum requirements:
 * [http://wordpress.org/about/requirements/](http://wordpress.org/about/requirements/)
 * Maybe you have to tell your host to change the PHP version for you.
